The CYBERBUSS fhREaKs threw the first annual CYBERBUSS Costume Ball on Saturday June 7th, 1997. This exuberant scene was a time to wave your fREaK flag and take absurdity extremely seriously. The cOStuMe BaLL was held in the Bayview Warehouse District of San Francisco where a spontaneous combustion of rhythm and creativity arose from the urban decay to form fREaKy fairy tale-like harmony all ended with a sunrise pancake breakfast.
Various dissonant bands, drum circles and ambient DJ's performed. Visuals filled three walls. Chill-out lounges, and couches kept things cozy. Nub Chai from Santa Cruz served-up their magical blend of chai tea.
The cOStuMe BaLL was cast online where many virtual CYBERBUSS fhREaKs attended. The CYBERBUSS fhREaKs intend to evolve this annual event into the first silver San Francisco nighttime street fair.
